Homemade Play Dough

This is the recipe for play dough that I made for my children when they were little.  It’s easy to make, and it stores for a long time in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. The Kool-Aid gives it a pretty color and a sweet scent.

Mix together :

1 cup flour

3 Tablespoons salt

1 1/2 Tablespoons cream of tartar

1 envelope unsweetened Kool-Aid

1 cup water

1 Tablespoon vegetable oil

Stir well.  Heat and stir in a pan over medium heat until it forms into a ball.  While it’s still warm, knead the ball with a little flour until it is smooth.  Allow to cool before giving it to children.
